I have a need to write a script that will first warn a user who has been idle for a set amount of time and then close either the session or close the program they are using.

the program we need to kick users off of is a poorly written piece-o-crap that we have no choice but to use and doesn't support anything like this. And the vendor want us to buy more licenses instead of adding the feature.

When we open Computer management and drill down to Shared Folders and then Open Sessions we can see who has a connection and how long they have been idle. Is there any way we can make use of this information in a script of some sort?

Neither i nor my coworker have doen much with scripting on the Windows side. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.
